Europe 2014 – Zurs, Introducing Pino
We awoke Thursday to another blue sky. Dick's group had a special guest in the form of "Pino" from the Zurs Ski/Guide School. After a quick warm-up run on the Madloch is was off into the never-never somewhere in a back valley eventually arriving back in Zug. On the way they encountered several dubious traverses over cliffy areas, a mountain goat and plenty of untracked pow. The journey was long, they hiked to Switzerland and back according to some, everyone had a blast and a few were feeling the effects of the previous nights drambuie's.

The rest of the gang jumped on the bus and headed to St.Anton. The groomers were in great shape and uncrowded as we approched the area from the Valfagher side. Both Linc's and Meesh's group skied together and headed up the Valluga. A great view greated us at top as we clicked into our skis and headed down to St. Anton. We explored the area heading to the Kapall and skied the World Cup run, Kandahar. Linc's group then headed over to St. Christoph while Meesh crossed the road and headed up to the Rendl area. The highlight of lunch was in St. Christoph where there was a slide down the stairs to the WC. The clouds rolled in after lunch and the light got a bit flat. Finishing times varied from group to group but the St. Anton gang all managed to meet up at the Mooserwirt for apres ski drinks. Dinner was a buffet feast of Austrian meats and after everyone had thier fill, it was an early night. (except for the few that went on the hunt for some live music)
