Our improvement training courses are designed to improve your skiing in all types of terrain – groomed runs, powder, steeps, bumps or terrain park…

Our focus on improving both technique and style ensures that participants achieve the highest level of performance through customised programs tailored to your objectives.

YES Improvement ski training courses provide CSIA Level 4 instructors to help you improve your skiing technique in your choice of terrain; short turns, long turns, bumps, deep powder and ski racing or freestyle for the advanced groups.

Program Overview

We are delighted to share this opportunity to ski with the legendary Mark Jones and the YES Team in Niseko 2020! We are running a slightly different format this year with a “ski 7 days out of 10” program giving the group the flexibility to pick the best days on the mountain in the current conditions rather than set days off.

The program will include:

10 nights’ accommodation in one of our luxury chalets or apartments in Lower Hirafu (or arrange your own accommodation and join us for the rest – see prices below).
7 days’ instruction and lift tickets including: Skiing at Niseko, Rusutsu, Kiroro or Moiwa/Annupuri
2 rest days dependent on weather (at your own cost)
Group target size of 5 guests per instructor
Welcome and wrap up functions with a video showcasing our powder and tree skiing adventure.

How good a skier do I have to be?

As long as you are linking turns on a blue run (low intermediate) we can accept you on the course and show you the way of the powder!

Tuesday January 21st – Friday January 31st 2020

NISEKO Ski resort in Hokkaido is probably the most famous resort in Japan, known for its constant supply of delicious powder days. Niseko offers a little something for everyone with a large variety of groomed runs that are ideal for low intermediates to the opposite end of the scale… deep, off piste powder skiing.

Niseko is the largest ski resort in Japan and is easily accessible by transfer from Sapporo. The town itself, Hirafu, has a great variety of resturants, shopping and bars. You’ll never get bored in Niseko!

Note that the programme does not include transfers to and from the airport. YES are happy to provide recommendations for transfer options.

Tuesday 21st January is our arrival day – please note that for the Full Program, check-in is at 4:00pm and check out is at 10:00am on the Friday 31st January 2020 so please arrange your flights accordingly.

You can arrange your transfer from New Chitose Airport Sapporo to Niseko and it takes approx 2-3 hours. When planning your flights please take the transfer schedule into consideration.

First Day On Snow

Wednesday January 22nd is our first day on snow. We create the groups and start skiing. A few easy runs will have your ski legs back as we start to explore Niseko. The daily schedule may vary due to weather conditions.
