The entire YES experience was exceptional from my first email, to the last function after my one week doing the course. I really got somewhere this time! The snow can be an enemy in NZ when it turns to ice but with Schmollies work on sliding and balance over the down hill ski my confidence got better and I actually SKIED the runs not woosed out and stopped and panicked. It was just a fabulous week and I think without a doubt Schmollie is just getting better and better as a coach. Thanks for a great week.
The Yes team create a great balance by making groups of like minded clients and matching them with experienced instructors who help you improve as an individual skier whilst taking the group to different parts of the resort in order to practice.
Great balance between helpful instructional tips and guiding to challenging and varied terrain on which to practice them.
I would recommend doing two weeks of improvement with YES. More importantly I am going to offer my three kids the opportunity to do the instructor course with you in years to come, if it appeals to them (and if they make the minimum required ability to enroll).
I really liked the tuition that focused on technique. Why? Because for rubbish skiers like me it is the foundation for everything that comes afterwards. Off piste etc. is all well and good, but if you are not confident in your technique it can be a waste of time (or worse).
Special thanks to Belinda who worked so hard to enroll me in the right programs including a 10 hours teaching kids module (even though I was exhausted!). All good and, again, thank you.
Seven weeks felt like one because it was a blast! Everything from the resort, the instructors, the skiing, the nightlife, the avalanche skills training, and of course completing CSIA Levels 1 and 2, it was all fantastic! Best of all you get to meet some great people and the YES team really make you feel welcome.
I loved the ski improvement, it was great to get one on one feedback from such experienced instructors!
I did really a great amount of different things (Ski prep for exams, Ski improvement-free skiing, Avalanche training…) What I liked most was to feel like in a big family and to feel a friendly atmosphere among all YES members. Every one professional and competent in his/her own job and at the same time really enthusiastic in doing it, happy and willing to help you achieving your goals. It was good skiing with different instructors each week…everyone of them can give you lots of different things On a positive note to Belinda organizational talent and to Guy availability and kindness. Avalanche training…very challenging but great experience with a professional and expert guide.
It’s been an intensive and really positive life experience. Everything was a bet for me (for Italian people is not customary doing such a kind of things…and the proof of this is that I didn’t even meet another italian during all my stay :-D) I had a very long staying (15 weeks in all) during which I met lots of nice and valuable people and I built a piece of life 🙂
This week’s experience is fantastic. We truly enjoyed skiing with Meesh. Many thanks to PJ and Belinda, great hosts, for making all the arrangements. We really appreciate your efforts.
Meesh is an excellent coach. We learned so much from him. We are blessed to have him as our coach. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to improve their skiing skills or to be certified as a ski coach.
I did not think there was so much to learn but Linc opened my eyes to everything I was doing wrong and allowed me to improve so much more than I ever thought possible.
I’ve had an amazing first week with lots of knowledge given to me. Linc is a very good coach and definitely pinpointed on what I need to improve on. Its been the sickest week learning the mountain and learning very important skills. Cheers Linc and YES
