Program Overview

The entry-level will take you through all the necessary training for you to gain your CASI Level 1 certification. The Canadian Association for Snowboard Instructors (CASI) Level 1 certifies you to teach beginner snowboarders.

The program includes technical seminars, on-going assessment of your riding progress, weekly fun videos (see yourself on the big screen!) and a personalized evaluation each week from one of our qualified Level 4 Pros.

You will also participate in the AST 1 certification. This is a course for those wishing to acquire appropriate entry level safety skills, proper instruction in uphill skinning techniques, assessing mountain environments and of course, the fun of powder snow boarding.

Overall, this 4 week program will improve your interpersonal skills, make you a better communicator and increase your technical knowledge as you advance your own riding to new heights!

NB The Nov 2022 program is only 3 weeks and will not include the AST 1.

How good a snowboarder do I need to be?

As long as you are linking turns on a blue run (low intermediate) we can accept you on the course and turn you into a snowboarding god or goddess!

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

YES offers a range of accommodation options so you can choose your own experience. We have made some changes this season due to the COVID situation so all accommodation is only single room or twin share. We still have our chalets and condos, and this year we are including some hotel options.

We can also help you find a private rental suite or condo if that would suit you better, contact us for a quote.

CHALETS: CATERED / SELF-CATERED: Staying at these chalets you have the option of including 4 delicious dinners each week in the comfort of your house. There is also self-catering facilities in the chalet so if you prefer that option you can manage your own meals as you wish.
YES CONDOS: Located through the resort, we have 2 bedroom condos with a kitchen provided so you can make your own meals.
HOTELS: CATERED / SELF-CATERED: We are offering accommodation packages at the very comfortable ski in/out Blackcomb Springs Suites. You can also upgrade to include 4 dinners / week if you chose, otherwise you can make your own meals in your hotel suite.

PLEASE NOTE: The only accommodation available for 4 week program starting on January 14th 2023 is Blackcomb Springs Suites.

Instruction Only: You can join us for any program for Instruction Only if you prefer to arrange your own accommodation. We can also help you with a Season Pass or Epic Pass if you don’t have your own, just let us know.

Add-ons: You can add our catered package to any program for $70 per week. This includes 6 dinners/week delivered weekly to you accommodation, just heat and eat when it suits you!
