YES Improvement ski training courses provide CSIA Level 4 instructors to help you improve your skiing technique in your choice of terrain; short turns, long turns, bumps and powder.
Program Overview
Stay in picturesque Wanaka and enjoy the challenge of Treble Cone with the YES team every August.
Located on New Zealand’s South Island, Wanaka is central to 4 ski fields, and home to the famous Treble Cone ski area – making Wanaka the perfect location to host our ski training courses.
With unrivalled off-piste powder skiing, Treble Cone has more intermediate & advanced terrain than any other South Island ski area, enabling our ski improvement program participants to hone their skills on some of the most challenging terrain available, including the extreme “Motatapu Chutes”.
Located in the Southern Hemisphere, Wanaka is uniquely positioned to offer ski training courses when its northern hemisphere counterparts are enjoying their summer months – so course participants can schedule their training programs to complement their regular winter season cycles.
How good a skier do I have to be?
As long as you are linking turns on blue runs – a solid intermediate – we can accept you on the course and turn you into a ski god or goddess! Treble Cone is more suited to the confident intermediate to advanced skiers with very limited green runs, a few blues and mostly blacks. It has the longest natural half pipe in the Southern Hemisphere.

2025 Dates and Prices
We are excited to announce we are back for 2025! Save the dates:
August 16 – 23 & August 23 – 30.
Prices are per person. Full package prices are based on 7 nights accommodation, YES Improvement program, 5 day lift pass and 5 daily bus transfers from the Edgewater Resort.
The Edgewater Resort has been going through a major upgrade this last couple of years. You now have a choice of standard or upgraded premium hotel rooms and 1 or 2 bedroom suites. Please see below for prices for all room types.
Transfer Information
Note that transfers from Queenstown to Wanaka are not included.
